THIS IS HOW THE PROCESS WORKS…….. 

STEP ONE: CREATE A TICKET 

Fill out our form with relevant information, then accept the terms of service, and submit. You will receive a confirmation email within an hour of your submission. If you don’t receive one, check your spam folder

 Step Two: Prepare media

We prefer to have the media extracted from the computer or device as this reduces service costs. Package the hard drive or damaged media in a static proof wrapping and place in packing material to cushion the media.  For a service charge, any of the One Hour Device Repair locations will be able to provide assistance in removing the media from a computer.  PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME AND/OR TICKET NUMBER ON THE PACKAGE WITH THE HARD DRIVE(S).

Step Three: drop off or mail media

OPTION 1: DROP OFF

Dave’s Data Recovery has an agreement with Mail Clinic Gilman in Issaquah, where their business is used as a drop-off and pickup location for hard drives and other media.  Please make sure to create a ticket prior to dropping off your media.

Dave’s Data Recovery operates their own locally operated lab and does not provide any damaged media to third parties without the customers knowledge and consent. The drop off location is for the convenience of customers.  As such, the staff at Mail Clinic Gilman are only able to receive and provide the media back to the customer after resolution.  They do not collect any funds, nor can answer any questions regarding Dave’s Data Recovery.  Please Note:  Once your case is completed you will always pick up the media/drives at the Mail Clinic Gilman in Issaquah.  We do not deliver the drives, nor mail them unless there are specific instructions to do so.

The initial evaluation is at no charge.  We examine the drive(s) and then will recontact the customer with a quote.  If the customer agrees with the quote, the recovery moves forward.  If the customer decides the quote is too much, the drive(s) will be returned and there will be no charges, with the exception of shipping (if required).

This location is the “Mail Clinic” and is a private postal drop off location. Please make sure to create a ticket before mailing your package.

Dave’s Data Recovery Lab is not open to the public. This is due to the evidence retained by DDR in criminal and civil cases. The lab is protected by CCTV, secure storage, and an alarm system. 

Return Shipping: All customers must pay for return shipping before any drives or data is sent back. Once your recovery is finished, we will contact you with total cost with the shipping fees added to final bill.
